Tuition fee

  • There is a seasonal registration fee of $50-$120.

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month from September through May or June, a total of 10 times.

    *Your initial invoice will include charges for both the first and last tuition payments.

    *Monthly tuition fees include costumes, performance opportunities, digital videos, and photos.

Registration: To register, complete online registration, pay the registration fee, and submit the first and last month's tuition installment.

Seasonal Weekly Class Tuition (September through June): Tuition is payable in ten installments due on the 1st day of each month from September 1st to May 1st. The yearly rate, spanning September to May, is split into ten payments. The first payment includes both the 1st and 10th month's tuition. These payments will be automatically deducted using the provided account information. Tuition is not prorated for any reason, including holidays and closures, which are factored into the ten payments.

*Creative Thinkers and Movers will tuition be payable in ten installments due on the 1st day of each month from September 1st to June 1st.

Late Payment Policy: If payment fails or is not received by the 7th day of the month, regardless of absence or illness, a late fee of $15.00 will be added to your account.

Missed Classes and Make-ups: There are no refunds for missed classes. Students can make up missed classes within 30 days by attending a similar class. Make-ups must be arranged via the Parent Portal or staff. Please note that recital dances may be ongoing from February to May, and make-up classes may not feature the same content.

Performance: The recital and dress rehearsal are typically scheduled in early June, with final dates confirmed in April. Participation in the recital is optional. Families will cover expenses for costumes, recital tickets, and required attire. Details regarding the number of shows per class will be released in April, potentially requiring attendance at multiple shows to see all performances.

Costumes: Costumes are mandatory for routines performed in the year-end show, with costume fees included in the monthly tuition. If joining mid-season, a ($10/per month) charge for past months' costumes may apply. Additional costs for tights, shoes, and undergarments will be incurred.

Refunds: No refunds will be issued for tuition, registration fees, tickets, or costume balances. Exceptions will not be made for student absences. Classes with less than four students may be canceled, and affected students will be reassigned. Refunds will be issued solely if the studio cancels a class without an alternative available.

DANCE COMPETITION OPPORTUNITY!

SOLO, DUET & TRIO TUITION

Cost per dance & choreography fee must be paid before the teacher will begin preparing the solo.

Tuition for solos, duets and trios will be automatically billed to your account each month.

The initial $450. fee includes 4 hours of choreography time for the dancer(s) to learn the routine.

For duets & trios, the initial $450 fee will be divided between the dancers.

After that, solo rehearsal tuition is $80/hr, duet rehearsal tuition is $40/hr per dancer, and trio rehearsal tuition is $30/hr per dancer.

  • Family Dance & Art

    Ages 12 months and up

    Family dance & art class is a fun, upbeat class where a young child and parent, grandparent, relative, or other special caregiver engage in a variety of music, movement and art activities together. Generally offered for children up through the age of 3. Family dance & art class provides special bonding time with your child and allows you to meet other families in your area!

  • Little Movers Ballet 

    Ages 3-4yrs, Pre-Level

    The perfect class for the littlest mover! This class provides a solid foundation to life and dance, focusing on coordination of major and minor muscle groups. Students thrive in the structured, disciplined curriculum that is created to increase an individual’s creativity and exploration. Exploration in class will challenge students’ physical abilities while enriching their attention span, interpersonal relationship skills and problem solving skills linking everything through dance. This class is perfect for the young student beginning ballet.

  • Creative Thinkers and Movers

    Ages 3-10yrs

    ArtLab J’s innovative program, Creative Thinkers & Movers, aims to offer diverse programming of creative activities which allow students to explore a more open free-form of dance, art, and STEM through utilizing different materials all while stimulating the senses in an encouraging environment.

  • K-POP Dance

    Ages 4 and up

    K-Pop (the shortened term referring to "Korean Popular Music") is a genre of music and industry which fuses elements of Electronic Music, Hip Hop, Rock&Roll, R&B, Pop and other musical styles. K-Pop began in South Korea where, aside from being a musical genre, it is also a subculture phenomenon that has gained popularity here in the West. In ArtLabJ's K-Pop class, students will not only learn to appreciate the music and subculture of K-Pop but also learn routines from the industry itself. Students will undertake the dance routines of such artists as BTS, Black Pink, and more.

  • Ballet I

    Ages 5-7yrs

    The beginning of ALJ’s codified Ballet curriculum, focusing on strengthening the muscles needed for precision and balance. The students build their ballet technique vocabulary and begin to execute and specify steps on and off the barre.

  • Ballet II

    Ages 8 and up

    Students are furthering their base skills of ballet technique. The expectations and pace of class increases, as does the difficulty of the vocabulary covered. Students are continually challenged to find their own edge, artistically and physically. The class begins to investigate nuances of movement and performing.

  • Pre-Pointe

    Ages 9 and up

    Focusing on strengthening the ankles, knees, and hips to prepare for pointe work.

  • Jazz

    In this highly energetic and technique-driven style, dancers will have the opportunity to focus on building their strength and flexibility. They will fine tune their body lines, turns, leaps, performance qualities and so much more!

  • Ballet/ Jazz & Ballet/Tap

    Alternating the introduction of fundamental principles of ballet through barre, center, and across the floor combinations and common tap or jazz movements and rhythms.

  • Contemporary

    Rooted heavily in ballet and modern techniques, contemporary has often been described as a melting-pot style. Dancers will continue to hone their skills, maintain their technique and explore new and exciting avenues to express themselves whilst utilizing dance movement as a vessel to communicate.

  • Stretch & Conditioning

    Conditioning Class will cross-train the dancer. There will be a focus on core strength, endurance, and injury prevention.

  • Leaps & Turns

    After a strengthening and stretching warmup, class focuses on technique progressions for kicks, leaps, and jumps.

  • Tumbling

    Ages 4 and up

    Students will focus on basic acro techniques including tumbling, conditioning, flexibility and strengthening.

  • Acro/Contemporary

    Ages 8 and up

    Students will focus on basic acro techniques including tumbling, conditioning, flexibility and strengthening while incorporating contemporary movement qualities.

  • Mommy & Me

    Using guided movement to create a fun environment that will strengthen the bond between parent and child.

  • Improvisation / Composition / Dance on Film

    Explore various improvisation techniques, composition exercises, and lessons on choreographing and creating dance on films.
