ArtLab J YOUNG LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
ArtLab J Young Leadership Program (Ages 13–18)
The ArtLab J Young Leadership Program is designed for aspiring leaders ages 13–18 who have a passion for K-POP, Korean culture, dance, and the arts. Running from September through May, this immersive program equips participants with the skills and experience needed to become confident, community-minded leaders.
To earn the ArtLab J Young Leadership Program Certificate, participants must complete a minimum of 100 volunteer hours, including teaching, event planning, mentoring, and community outreach. This certificate recognizes their dedication and leadership while helping them build a strong portfolio for future academic and career opportunities.
Throughout the program, participants develop leadership, creativity, teamwork, and cultural awareness while making a meaningful impact in their community.
Program Commitment
Attend at least one dance class each week (K-POP or Dance Leadership).
Complete a minimum of 100 volunteer hours.
Participate in leadership training, events, and community outreach activities.
Participants collaborate with peers, organize events, mentor younger students, and gain valuable real-world leadership experience.
Applications are reviewed, and selected applicants will be invited for an interview.
ArtLab J Junior Volunteer Program (Ages 11–12)
Discover. Serve. Lead.
The ArtLab J Junior Volunteer Program is designed for students ages 11–12 who are ready to begin developing responsibility, teamwork, and leadership through volunteer experiences.
Running from September through May, this program serves as the official preparation pathway for the ArtLab J Young Leadership Program (Ages 13–18). Participants build confidence by assisting teachers, supporting younger students, and learning how classes, camps, and community programs are organized.
Program Commitment
Attend at least one ArtLab J class each week.
Complete 30 volunteer hours.
Participate in volunteer training and service activities.
Junior Volunteers Will:
Assist teachers during classes.
Help with camps and special events.
Support younger students.
Participate in community service projects.
Develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive an ArtLab J Junior Volunteer Certificate and become eligible to apply for the ArtLab J Young Leadership Program.

K-POP Culture
Leadership
Participants will:
Learn and Perform:
Attend weekly K-POP Dance classes (at least once per week).
Practice and master K-POP dance routines.
Teach and Inspire:
Teach K-POP dance to younger children in community programs.
Outreach and Performance:
Participate in public performances and community events to spread awareness and appreciation of K-POP culture.
Engage in Leadership Activities:
Collaborate with peers to plan and execute community outreach initiatives related to K-POP culture.

Take weekly dance classes (any dance style offered by ArtLab J).
Develop and refine performance techniques.
Teach and Mentor:
Lead beginner-level or children’s dance classes under mentorship.
Assist in rehearsals and provide support to younger dancers.
Plan and Organize:
Work as part of a team to choreograph group dances for showcases or community events.
Collaborate on dance workshops for the local community.
Outreach and Advocacy:
Perform at community events to promote dance and inspire others.
Advocate for dance education and community engagement through presentations or discussions.
